Oh my well being the person i am im gonna lay it out straight to you... i thought that show was a joke.... i mean it reallly had a good point and the thoughts those studetns had are true feelings of real people, but i honestly could not get past the "man" "boy" "thing"?? with the "questionable sexual orientation"..... why why why do TV producers have to ruin a perfectly good show with things like homosexuals/curse words/ and sexual references.. that bothers me so much. what has our world come to that we cant watch a show with out it having some sort of those refernces... those things really take away from the point of what could be a perfectly good story line.

BAHAHAHAHAHHA!!
onward..
I think its sad that so many people really feel the way KURT does. and its sad that more people dont reach out to those people. because we worry to much about the people overseas or hobos ect that there are people who coudl be sitting right next to us who not TRULY QUESTION GOD. whats scarier not knowing god or denying that he's there.
These writters have a point they see from the non christian point of view what the people who dont believe look like. and how we try to see godd in the littlest of things... like a grilled cheese... featured above:)
But if glee would eliminate the "questionable sexual orientated guy" i would really enjoy it..
p.s. i dont really hate people with questionable sexual orientation.. i just HATEEEE how america has made it so acceptable for them. NOTE TO THE WORLD: sexuall orientation should never be questionable...SIN IS NEVERRRRRRRRRRRR OKAY!!!!!!
Sin isn't okay. But homosexuality is. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that my personal feelings toward the show was that it was joke, I also agree that Kurt was a good reminder to me that we need to want to help homosexuals just like we would want to help any person that struggles with a particular sin. I'm not saying homosexuality isnt a sin, i think it is, but i think it is no different than someone who struggles with telling the truth, we have to love them and help them to see God's truth.
ReplyDeletedear ashley. good blog. to answer your question i think people have to put that stuff in there just becasue thats how our world is. it excepted. we cant change it all we can do is help. i like the picture. but i think in the show the grilled cheesus was kinda a disrespect towards christians.
ReplyDeleteand im just saying.. read the bible. homosexuality is wrong girl. plan as day. take it for what its worth. i know you dont think so but the HOLY bible gods WRITTEN word says it is. you've been taught differently okay. think as you please. you are entitled to an opinion. but dont be offended when everyone else thinks something differently. we all have views. for anyone who doesn like my views dont read my blog. sorry im opinonated. sp?
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog!! I happen to like the show, but that is because I love music. If you don't like it I will not shove it down your throat. So here is my soloem promise not to go down the halls singing Glee songs (but just so you know Madrigal songs are still fair game). But seriously, I do like your blog and I agree with it, especially the part about our culture having to through in inapropriate things to make a show sell. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteStrong words Ashley! I agree with you in a lot of your points. You're absolutely right, Sin is NEVER Ok, and I'm glad we agree that homosexuality is a sin. I also love that you are loving enough to see that these people need someone to reach out to them, not accepting them, because sin is unacceptable, but loving them as Christ would with the intent to bring them to Him. I think that a lot of the bitterness described through Kurt's character comes from uptight Christians who are so wrapped up in the law, they've forgotten how to love. It's awesome to see you feel so strongly on this and that your heart is moved for the lost! :)
ReplyDeleteJess
Good job, Ashley! I totally agree with you that it is sad that America has made sodomy so acceptable. I also think it is sad though how the church (us) treat those people sometimes. But anyway, good ideas about the show! (and nice pic of Grilled Cheesus haha)
ReplyDeleteI LOVED how you put your feelings straight onto the blog. I agree with you completely. I loved how you pointed out that America has grown to accept homosexuality, as it being ok, because God clearly states that it is not. I also agree that we should try to help these people not fall into the traps of this sin.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Job!
Hey kiddo:)
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you on the part that christian people do reject "questionable sexualu orientated people" ha. It's terribly sad! They are lost and Christians need to get past the fact that they aren't "perfect" or their different. Jesus didn't hang out with perfect people! He hung out with sinners right? And I also agree that that sin is never okay and that homosexuality is a sin.
Good blog!:)
